The new year has started on a high note for Nita Strauss. The celebrated Alice Cooper guitarist revealed on Thursday, January 1, that she and her husband and manager, Josh Villalta, are expecting their first child. Sharing a photo of a sonogram and ultrasound on Instagram, Strauss announced that they are preparing to welcome a baby boy later this year.

In the post accompanying the image, Strauss shared her joy regarding the news:

“Looks like 2026 will be the best year yet. We’ve waited so long for this miracle and now the time is finally here! He will come into this world surrounded by so much love! So excited to meet our little man this summer”.

This exciting chapter follows the couple’s wedding, which was held in May 2024 at The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony drew a host of notable figures from the music and entertainment industries. Guests included Strauss’ Alice Cooper bandmates, Alice Cooper himself and Chuck Garric, as well as Disturbed frontman David Draiman with his wife Sarah Uli, and Disturbed bassist John Moyer with his wife Brandi.

Pop-rock artist Demi Lovato attended with her husband Jordan JutesLutes, alongside celebrity chef Chris Santos and his wife, actress Natalie Makenna.

Villalta proposed to the guitarist in July 2023 during the West Hollywood record-release party for her solo album, The Call Of The Void. The couple’s history dates back to 2011, when they were first introduced by Yamaha marketing manager Mike Taft in the driveway of the Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood
