Nine Inch Nails are officially teaming up with acclaimed electro-house producer Boys Noize for a brand-new collaborative album. The highly anticipated project, appropriately titled Nine Inch Noize, is scheduled to drop worldwide on Friday, April 17, 2026.
The surprise release was officially confirmed across the artists’ social media channels with a simple, direct announcement:
“NINE INCH NOIZE • HALO 38 • APRIL 17TH • PRE-SAVE NOW.”
Fans will immediately recognize the “Halo 38” title. This continues Nine Inch Nails‘ decades-long tradition of assigning a sequential “Halo” number to every official release in their vast discography, marking this new collaboration as the 38th official entry. To build additional hype, a targeted billboard campaign was recently spotted near Indio, California, confirming the album’s rollout ahead of the spring festival season.
The creative partnership between Nine Inch Nails masterminds Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, alongside Boys Noize (the moniker of German producer Alex Ridha), has been steadily growing over the last several years. The trio has successfully blurred the boundaries between film scoring, remix culture, and heavy electronic music on recent projects, including the “Challengers [MIXED]” release and contributions to the upcoming “TRON: Ares” soundtrack.
Fans recently caught a glimpse of this evolving dynamic during Nine Inch Nails‘ “Peel It Back Tour,” where Boys Noize frequently joined the legendary band on stage to deliver a heavy, hybrid industrial-electronic set. Sonically, the upcoming studio album is expected to perfectly capture that live energy, seamlessly merging the abrasive, mechanical foundations of Nine Inch Nails with the pulsing, high-energy dance production of Boys Noize.
Listeners won’t have to wait until release day to hear the new material. Before the album officially hits streaming platforms, the artists are scheduled to debut the Nine Inch Noize live experience at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The collaborative performance will take over the massive Sahara stage during the festival’s April 11 edition.
