Nine Inch Nails have caught fans off guard with a surprise release. On February 27, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers dropped Tron Ares: Divergence, a brand new companion album to their highly successful soundtrack for last year’s “Tron Ares” film.
Following a multi-year hiatus, Nine Inch Nails made a triumphant return to score the sci-fi sequel. Their work on the film was universally praised, ultimately earning them a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song earlier this year for the standout track “As Alive As You Need Me To Be“.
This newly released collection features leftover material from those acclaimed recording sessions. Tron Ares: Divergence offers a mix of previously unreleased original compositions alongside fresh remixes of the soundtrack’s core songs, featuring contributions from a massive roster of electronic artists and producers like Boys Noize, Arca, and Chilly Gonzales.
