Nikki Sixx Fires Back At ‘Whiny Twit’ Noel Gallagher

A recent online exchange has seen Mötley Crüe bassist and co-founder Nikki Sixx openly criticize Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher. The dispute arose after Gallagher expressed a strong dislike for making music videos in an interview shared on VICE‘s Instagram page on May 30.

During the interview, Gallagher stated, “I f**king hate videos. I make no bones about it.”

This remark seemingly provoked a sharp response from Sixx, who took to the comments section of the VICE post to air his disapproval. Sixx wrote: “What he should hate is how few great songs they [Oasis] actually have. Be grateful for the couple you got.” He didn’t stop there, further labeling Gallagher a “whiny twit,” drawing a comparison to a horse’s high-pitched whinny.

While Sixx did not specify which Oasis hits he considered “great” when challenged, his disdain for Gallagher’s stance on music videos was clear. For Sixx and Mötley Crüe, music videos have historically been a significant part of their identity, known for their grand and rebellious visual storytelling in tracks like “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Kickstart My Heart.”

This summer, Oasis is scheduled to perform a series of sold-out comeback shows across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and North America.
