Fantoons, the L.A.-based animation studio known for its music-themed illustrated books, has unveiled its latest creation: Where Is Ozzy?—an officially licensed seek-and-find adventure set for worldwide release on July 29, 2025.
Following in the footsteps of Motörhead: Where Is Lemmy? and Rush: Where Is Geddy, Alex And Neil?, this new title pays tribute to the madman himself, offering a series of elaborate double-page spreads that chronicle Ozzy Osbourne’s iconic solo career. From Blizzard of Ozz to No More Tears, each page is crammed with wild, chaotic illustrations packed with Easter eggs, obscure references, and playful nods to the legendary frontman’s decades-spanning legacy.
Designed by Fantoons’ award-winning team, Where Is Ozzy? lets readers immerse themselves in a colorful world where Ozzy snacks on bats, rises from cryptic shadows, and hides beneath heavy black rain. It’s a heavy metal fever dream that fans—both longtime devotees and curious newcomers—will want to revisit again and again.
Speaking on the book’s creation, author David Calcano said: “A book like this only works when it’s built around a legend who rewrote the rules — with thunderous music, iconic style, and wicked humour. Fans will lose themselves in a world packed with Ozzy Easter Eggs and the raw energy our team poured into every page. All abooooooard!”
The book arrives on the heels of a historic event: Ozzy Osbourne’s final live performance, set for July 5. Reuniting with original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, Ozzy will headline the epic “Back To The Beginning” farewell concert alongside Tool, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and others. Livestreamed around the globe, it promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of heavy metal—and a fitting farewell for its most beloved icon.
Writer and extreme metal devotee, Ialdagorth has spent over a decade covering the darkest corners of heavy music. A black metal lifer, he spends his free time wandering the Carpathian Mountains, likely humming blast beats to the trees.
