Danny Wimmer Presents has officially unveiled the massive roster for the 14th annual Aftershock Festival. Set to take over Discovery Park in Sacramento, California, from October 1 through October 4, the 2026 edition promises to be the West Coast’s biggest rock and metal event to date.
Leading the charge this year are heavyweight headliners My Chemical Romance, Tool, Limp Bizkit, and Pierce The Veil. To accommodate the largest lineup in the festival’s history—featuring over 140 artists—organizers have officially expanded the site to include a fifth stage.
Danny Wimmer shared his excitement about the festival’s evolution and the highly anticipated new additions to the fan experience.
“This year’s Aftershock marks a bold new chapter for the festival. We’ve brought together metal, punk, emo and nu-metal to create a lineup that’s raw, youthful, and unapologetic. With Tool anchoring the weekend and Pierce The Veil making their headlining debut, we’re breaking boundaries and redefining what Aftershock can be. And after years of fan requests, we’re finally introducing camping — giving fans the chance to fully immerse themselves in the weekend. This is a new era for Aftershock, and Sacramento is about to feel it.”
For the first time ever, Aftershock is offering official RV and Car + Tent camping at the nearby Cal Expo, complete with festival re-entry and optional shuttle passes. Campers will also get exclusive access to a Wednesday Night Pre-Party hosted by Rock & Brews.
Inside the festival grounds, attendees can check out returning favorite spots like the Tremors Dive Bar and the Jungle Bird Tiki Bar. New to 2026 are the Overtime Sports Bar—located near the newly added fifth stage—and the Cantina del Diablo, an open-air Mexican street fare spot hosted by Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin.
Visit Sacramento president and CEO Mike Testa emphasized just how important the festival has become to the local community.
“Aftershock continues to be a seminal moment for Sacramento, not just for the fans, but for the people who live and work here every day. The festival brings thousands of people to our city for four incredible days, generating more than $39 million in economic impact. Those dollars translate into critical support for our business community and civic partners. Maybe the best part is that Aftershock fans are often discovering Sacramento while they’re here and are making their experience synonymous with the city. We’re grateful for our partnership with DWP and can’t wait to welcome everyone back later this fall.”
