Mudvayne frontman Chad Gray is giving fans a rare and immersive opportunity to get up close and personal with the band’s iconic aesthetic. For the band’s upcoming 25th-anniversary tour celebrating their debut album, L.D. 50, Gray is offering a select number of fans a “VIP Backstage Pre-Show Makeup Experience” for $3,000.

In a recent social media post, Gray detailed the unique package, which he said is a first for the band. The exclusive experience, available to just one fan and their guest per show, includes an hour-long session with Gray backstage as he applies his signature makeup.

Gray clarified that this is far from a standard meet-and-greet. “Now this isn’t a quick grip and grin, take your signed photo and go,” he wrote. “This is a full-blown one-hour hang session with me during my pre-show makeup ritual.”

The high-end package also includes a variety of commemorative items, such as two general admission tickets, a custom Mudvayne necklace, a signed setlist, and a signed 8×10 photo. In a nod to Gray‘s on-stage appearance, fans will also receive a prosthetic bullet hole similar to the one he wears. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the VIP sales will be donated to the F**k Cancer organization.

The tour, which is being co-headlined with Static-X to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their album Wisconsin Death Trip, kicks off on September 11. It’s an important milestone for Mudvayne, whose 2000 debut, L.D. 50, earned critical acclaim for its technical prowess and experimental sound, earning a spot on Metal Hammer‘s “20 Best Metal Albums of 2000” list.

His full announcement is as follows:

“Hey Metal Kids the 25th anniversary tour is almost upon us. I leave in less than 2 weeks and I’m so stoked to get out there again with you all. Most of you know that we don’t do meet n greets ((because of the amount of time it takes me to get ready.) so I’m personally going to change that. But on a very limited basis. I’m going to do 1 meet and greet with you and your guest per town. Now this isn’t a quick grip and grin, take your signed photo and go. This is a full blown 1 hour hang session with me during my pre show make up ritual. And there with only be 1 available per town. So just you, your guest and me talking, listening to my favorite pre show music, hanging out while I get ready for stage. Should be a blast. Anyway I can’t wait to see you ALL soon. The link is in my BIO so…go check it out. Stay cool metal kids!
