Mudvayne/Hellyeah frontman Chad Gray has shared that he had surgery yesterday, February 17. In a video posted ahead of the procedure, he explained that he suffered a torn MCL (medial collateral ligament) onstage during the opening night of Mudvayne’s final 2025 tour.

In a video caption, he wrote: “Happy knee surgery day everyone! Wish me luck, good vibes, prayers what ever you do – send it my way! Love you all. I hope I get to keep this badass hat!! Be well-MC!”

Gray said he pushed through the remainder of the tour using braces and other support to manage the injury. He added that he’s aiming to be fully healed in time for his first-ever solo shows, which will include stops in Las Vegas, Flint, East Moline, and Green Bay.

Later, he posted an Instagram story saying the procedure went “well.” He thanked all the fans for sending him “love” and “prayers”.

Following the sellout of his first-ever solo show in Las Vegas last month, Chad Gray has expanded his “30 Years Of Madness” run with three additional dates. The performances mark Gray’s debut as a solo headliner and arrive during a year in which Mudvayne have no touring plans.

Joining Gray onstage for the run will be Hellyeah guitarist Christian Brady and Mudvayne touring guitarist Marcus Raffety, along with additional musicians.

The shows will also give Gray a chance to revisit material from Hellyeah, the band that has remained inactive since early 2020, when their U.S. tour was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the years since, Gray reunited with Mudvayne, who returned to the stage in 2021 for their first concerts in 12 years. The band has since completed multiple tours and released two new tracks, “Hurt People Hurt People” and “Sticks And Stones.”

30 Years Of Madness” tour dates:

April 24 — Las Vegas, NV — Fremont Country Club
May 26 — Flint, MI — The Machine Shop
May 29 — East Moline, IL — The Rust Belt
May 30 — Green Bay, WI — Epic Event Center
