Mötley Crüe headlined the second edition of the Rockin’ Thunder festival on Saturday night (July 4), marking their first full headlining concert in nine months with a set that leaned heavily into deep cuts, long-absent fan favorites, and unexpected surprises.
The show took place at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and brought together a packed lineup that also featured Three Days Grace, Halestorm, and JJ Wilde, presented by True North Sports And Entertainment and the Winnipeg Football Club.
While the band delivered its usual arsenal of stadium staples, the biggest talking point of the night came from the vaults of their earliest era.
For the first time since 1984, Mötley Crüe performed “Take Me To The Top”, a track from their 1981 debut album Too Fast For Love. Its return after more than four decades stood out as one of the set’s most significant moments.
The band also revived several other tracks that had been absent from their live shows for years. “Red Hot” opened the set for the first time since 2013, while “Louder Than Hell” and “Too Young To Fall In Love” both made their first appearances since 2015.
Alongside these rarities, the group mixed in their trademark hits, including “Shout At The Devil,” “Looks That Kill,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Dr. Feelgood,” and “Kickstart My Heart,” keeping the momentum high throughout the night.

Mötley Crüe is currently preparing for a massive summer. The band is set to embark on “The Return Of Carnival Of Sins” tour, a 33-city, Live Nation-produced trek that simultaneously celebrates the 45th anniversary of the group and the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking 2005-2006 “Carnival Of Sins” era.
Supported by Extreme and Tesla, the highly anticipated stadium and arena run will officially kick off on July 17, 2026, at the Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.
