Motionless In White Set To Drop New Single ‘Afraid Of The Dark’ This January

Motionless In White will launch their 20th-anniversary celebration with a brand new single. The song, titled “Afraid Of The Dark,” is set for release on January 28, 2026.

Frontman Chris “Motionless” Cerulli revealed the news to a hometown crowd this past Thursday, November 13, at the Apocalypse Fest in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Cerulli explained that the band’s seventh studio album, which fans had expected this year, has been purposefully delayed to align with the band’s monumental milestone in 2026.

Speaking to the arena, Cerulli reflected on the band’s history, which started with celebrating 13 years of their album Infamous.

“Next year we celebrate something that is truly indescribable to me. Next year is our 20th anniversary of being a f**king band,” Cerulli announced. “So we had a few discussions about what we wanted to do to celebrate that. And I know that it was supposed to release this year, but we thought, what a better f**king way to celebrate 20 years of being a band than releasing an album that is inspired by 20 years of our music.”

Cerulli acknowledged the long wait for new material but emphasized the importance of honoring the band’s two-decade journey, which he called a “monumental achievement.”

“So we know that you guys have been waiting very patiently for a new album, a new song, anything at all,” he said. “And I’m here to tell you that we wanna release an album next year because we want to make sure that we can honor and celebrate 20 years… And we know how much it means to the fans that have been around for so f**king long. Whether you’ve been around for 20, 15, 10, 5 [years], 10 days, it doesn’t matter, you are a part of that f**king journey that we’ve been on, and we really, really want to make sure that we do something special.”

He then concluded with the specific details for the new music.

“So, not only will we, of course, be releasing a new album… I did want you guys to be the first people to know that on January 28th you’re gonna hear our first new song off the album,” Cerulli declared. “January 28th, first song off the album and the kickoff to what will be a very long, very f**king awesome album cycle for us. Mark your f**king calendars, my friends. The song is called ‘Afraid Of The Dark‘, and we cannot wait for you to hear it.”

The new album cycle will be supported by a massive world tour throughout 2026.
