Independent music powerhouse MNRK Music Group has officially acquired the complete recorded catalog of Black Label Society, the long-running heavy metal outfit fronted by iconic guitarist and vocalist Zakk Wylde.

Spanning more than two decades, the extensive acquisition encompasses 11 studio albums, including seminal releases such as Stronger Than Death, 1919 Eternal, The Blessed Hellride, and Order Of The Black. The deal also covers multiple live records, compilation projects, EPs and live album, Unblackened.

The acquisition solidifies a longstanding partnership between the label and Wylde. Moving forward, MNRK plans to utilize its global distribution network to launch comprehensive legacy campaigns, curated reissues, and expanded releases across streaming platforms and physical vinyl formats. According to the announcement, Wylde will remain actively involved in curating how the catalog is presented to ensure the authenticity of the material is preserved for both longtime listeners and new audiences.

Sean Stevenson, CEO and president of MNRK Music Group, emphasized the importance of the acquisition in expanding the company’s footprint within the global heavy metal market.

“Zakk has been part of the MNRK family for many years, and this deal reflects the strength of that relationship,” Stevenson stated. “Black Label Society has built one of the most enduring and loyal fanbases in heavy music. Owning and continuing to grow this catalog is a natural next step for us, and we’re proud to deepen our partnership with Zakk for the long term.”

Scott Givens, SVP of MNRK Heavy, echoed the sentiment regarding the enduring influence of the band’s material.

“Zakk Wylde is one of the true icons of modern heavy music. The Black Label Society catalog represents decades of powerful songwriting, unforgettable riffs, and an incredibly dedicated global audience. We’re excited to bring new energy to these releases and continue expanding their reach across streaming, vinyl, and new generations of fans,” he added.

Wylde originally formed Black Label Society in 1998, meticulously balancing the project’s relentless touring and recording schedule with his longstanding tenure as the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne. Over the years, the band’s blues-drenched grooves and heavy riffing have resulted in massive commercial successes, with 2010’s Order Of The Black and 2014’s Catacombs Of The Black Vatican both securing top-five positions on the hard rock album charts.
