Ministry have released “Singularity“, the third track to be lifted from Hate To Go – Take Out Or Delivery, the record Al Jourgensen has said will close the band after 45 years. The album arrives on October 30 through Cleopatra Records.

It is the band’s seventeenth studio album, produced by Jourgensen himself. “Singularity” sits eighth in the running order and follows “Burned Out“, which opened the campaign in July, and “We Hate“, released on August 21. Both earlier videos were directed by Joshua Bradford, formerly of Revolting Cocks.

Jourgensen was direct about his intentions when the album was announced.

“I’m f**king done,” said the 67-year-old.

He continued: “I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m amazed at the path that it’s taken, from With Sympathy to where we’re at Today, and all points in between. It’s been quite a ride, but I’m completely at peace with the fact that it’s done. It’s time to herd goats.”

Ministry have reached this point twice before. Jourgensen first wound the band down with 2007’s The Last Sucker, then again with 2013’s From Beer To Eternity, which carried posthumous contributions from guitarist Mike Scaccia. The band returned in 2018 with AmeriKKKant, followed by Moral Hygiene in 2021 and Hopiumforthemasses in 2024. In March 2025 they issued The Squirrely Years Revisited, a set of re-recorded songs drawn from their early synth-pop catalogue.

What distinguishes the final record is who closes it. Paul Barker, the multi-instrumentalist whose bass and production shaped Ministry through their most influential decade, appears on the last track, “We’re Still Here“. It is his first credit on a Ministry studio album since 2003’s Animositisomina, ending a 23-year absence. He reunited with Jourgensen in June 2024, when work on the album began.

The album is also the only Ministry studio release to feature drummer Pepe Clarke, who joined in July 2024 after Roy Mayorga stepped away to tour with Jerry Cantrell.

Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery) Tracklist:

  • “Crickets“
  • “Voices Of Hate“
  • “Clown Car“
  • “We Hate“
  • “Delete“
  • “Grifter“
  • “The White Man Lied“
  • “Singularity“
  • “Burned Out“
  • “We’re Still Here” (featuring Paul Barker)

“The White Man Lied” does not appear on the cassette or vinyl editions.

The band described “We Hate” as aimed at Donald Trump and the current state of American politics, a subject Jourgensen has written about across every Ministry record since the band’s 2018 return.

Farewell touring is already under way. Ministry have remaining 2026 dates in the United States and an appearance at Australia’s Good Things Festival, before a “Goodbye Europe” run with Die Krupps in spring 2027. A full United States farewell tour is still to be announced.

Ministry formed in Chicago in 1981 and have been nominated for six Grammy awards across a catalogue that includes The Land Of R**e And Honey (1988) and Psalm 69: The Way To Succeed And The Way To Suck Eggs (1992).
