Michael Monroe has announced US dates for April and May 2027, closing on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise.
Michael Monroe returns to the United States next spring for a short run that opens on 29 April in Connecticut and finishes at sea. The former Hanoi Rocks frontman has five club and theatre shows confirmed across the east coast and west, followed by a week on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise. Tickets go on sale on Friday 21 August.

Monroe set out his appetite for American touring in a February interview with “The Logan Show“, given around the release of Outerstellar.
“We definitely wanna come to the States to play… When we played there, it was fantastic. It was a great reaction. And rock and roll has such a strong foothold. It was just such a strong part of the culture already in the States. In America it’s always been taken seriously… And Little Richard, Chuck Berry, they started it. They actually were the key people, and Buddy Holly and all that, that’s such a strong thing. And you could tell when you play a gig in America, you guys love the guitar rock, especially with two guitars. So, we definitely wanna play in the States more,” he said at the time.
He added: “Before the last tour we did, I hadn’t played there for 13 years, so it was great to come back and see how people were really… I was surprised how much they were into it and how much fun it was being there.”
Monroe was dismissive of musicians who have declined US bookings on political grounds.
“Some people say, ‘Well, no, we’re not gonna go and play in America ’cause of [U.S. president Donald] Trump.’ F**k that. Politics and rock don’t mix. Who cares? That’s more of a reason to go and play there,” Monroe said. “It’s not our audience’s fault if the president is what it is. I mean, if you’re not gonna not go to America because of that, then you’re kind of giving up and playing in to doing exactly what they want — joining the enemy.”
Outerstellar came out on 20 February through Silver Lining Music, Monroe‘s first studio album since 2022’s I Live Too Fast To Die Young!. It runs to twelve tracks and was introduced by “Rockin’ Horse” the previous October, with “Shinola” following in release week.
The lineup behind him has been settled for several records: Sami Yaffa, his bandmate since the Hanoi Rocks days and later a New York Dolls member, on bass; Steve Conte, who took the New York Dolls guitar seat once held by Johnny Thunders and has played with Suzi Quatro and Eric Burdon, and Rich Jones, formerly of the Ginger Wildheart band, on guitars; and Karl Rockfist, previously with Danzig, on drums.
The 2027 dates cap a busy stretch. Monroe and his band spent late February and early March on a ten-date UK co-headline tour with Buckcherry, played the Underground Garage Cruise from Miami to Cozumel in April, and headline the Rock The Sun festival in Spain on 19 September.
