Heavy metal icons Metallica are set to rock the Middle East in December 2025 with two highly anticipated performances in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.
Metallica will first make their debut in Bahrain on Wednesday, December 3, taking the stage at the Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre. Tickets for this inaugural Bahrain show will go on sale Thursday, April 24 at 4 p.m. AST (2 p.m. BST / 9 a.m. EDT) and will be available through the official Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre website: www.beyonaldana.com.bh.
Following their Bahrain performance, Metallica will head to Abu Dhabi to participate in the after-race concerts at the 2025 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Saturday, December 6. The event takes place on Yas Island, near the UAE capital. This will mark Metallica‘s third appearance in Abu Dhabi, having previously performed on Yas Island in 2011 and 2013.
Access to the Abu Dhabi after-race concert is exclusive to Grand Prix ticket holders. Fans can purchase combined tickets for both the race and the Metallica show via the Abu Dhabi GP website. For those who already have race tickets, Golden Circle upgrades for the concert are currently available at www.abudhabigp.com.
David Powell, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at Ethara, the organizers of the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, commented on the announcement, stating: “Metallica deliver life-changing shows. They are the perfect addition to the 2025 F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Yasalam offering. Saturday will be a day not to miss for F1 and rock fans alike.”
Metallica themselves confirmed the Abu Dhabi performance, stating in a recent update: “Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, here we come. We’re taking the stage at Yas Island on December 6 after F1 qualifying – the night before the race.”
Prior to these December dates, Metallica made a return to the Gulf region in 2023 with an appearance at Soundstorm in Saudi Arabia.
