Following an explosion of fan demand, Metallica have officially unveiled the dates for the six newly added performances of their “Life Burns Faster” residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
The band released a statement to confirm the exact schedule for the new shows and to remind fans about the upcoming ticket presale windows.
“Get your calendars out… our new Sphere dates are locked in! We’re psyched to add ‘Life Burns Faster‘ No Repeat Weekends to October 8 & 10, November 5 & 7, and our first 2027 dates, January 28 & 30.”
“Fan Club Presales for BOTH Legacy and Fifth Members begin tomorrow, March 4, at 1 PM ET // 10 AM PT. If you already have a Legacy or Fifth Member code, you can use it to access this new presale.”
The newly announced dates will seamlessly integrate with the initial eight-show run, which kicks off in early October 2026. Every weekend of the residency will maintain the strict “No Repeat Weekend” format that the band established during their massive “M72” world tour, guaranteeing completely different setlists for the Thursday and Saturday performances.
Fans traveling to Las Vegas can expect a highly immersive audiovisual experience. James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo will take full advantage of the venue’s groundbreaking technology, including the world’s highest-resolution wraparound LED display, multi-sensory 4D elements, and precision-targeted Sphere Immersive Sound.
Discussing the inspiration behind booking the state-of-the-art venue, Lars Ulrich previously shared his initial reaction to seeing the room in action.
“About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ’23, I thought, ‘We have to do this. It’s completely uncharted territory!’ This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months’ time, and way f**kin’ psyched to go next level!”
