The 2025 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, was fully canceled yesterday, Friday, June 13, following severe weather conditions that rendered the site untenable. This decision led to the scrapping of all remaining performances, including the scheduled set by Megadeth.

Organizers announced the complete cancellation at 7:40 p.m. on Friday, approximately six hours after initially suspending shows and evacuating Centeroo, the festival’s primary venue. The sudden conclusion came after updated forecasts predicted continued unsustainable conditions for on-site campers. Heavy thunderstorms had already impacted the area, with the National Weather Service reporting about an inch of rain falling on Manchester, causing widespread flooding in Centeroo and around the main stages.

In a statement addressing attendees, the festival organizers expressed their disappointment: “We have put our hearts and souls into making this weekend the most special one of the year, and cannot express how crushed we are to have to make this decision. Thank you in advance for your patience, your positivity and your unfailing Bonnaroovian spirit.”

Individual artists began confirming their canceled appearances on social media platforms, with Megadeth sharing a video message conveying their regret over not being able to perform on Friday. The festival had initially commenced on Thursday, June 12, featuring acts such as Insane Clown Posse, Luke Combs, and Dom Dolla.

Regarding ticket refunds, organizers stated that individuals who purchased one-day admission and parking passes for June 13, June 14, and June 15 will receive full refunds. Those with four-day admission and parking passes will be issued a 75% refund. All refunds are expected to be processed within “as little as 30 days.”
