Megadeth Reveals First Eight Tracks From Their Farewell Album

Thrash metal legends Megadeth have officially unveiled the first eight songs from their upcoming—and final—studio album, simply titled Megadeth. The tracklist reveal came via Instagram, offering fans a glimpse into what promises to be a defining farewell for one of metal’s most influential acts.

The revealed songs include:

  • “Tipping Point”
  • “I Don’t Care”
  • “Hey God?!”
  • “Let There Be Shred”
  • “Puppet Parade”
  • “Another Bad Day”
  • “Made To Kill”
  • “Obey The Call”

According to the band, the final two tracks will be announced later today, completing the lineup for the self-titled record, which drops January 23, 2026. The album will be released via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in collaboration with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK division.

Serving as the follow-up to 2022’s The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!, the new album marks the end of an era. Mustaine confirmed in August that Megadeth will embark on a global farewell tour in 2026, celebrating over four decades of thrash metal dominance.

“We can’t wait for you to hear this album and see us on tour,” Mustaine said back in August. “If there was ever a perfect time for us to put out a new album, it’s now. If there was ever a perfect time to tour the world, it’s now. This is also a perfect time for us to tell you that it’s our last studio album. We’ve made a lot of friends over the years and I hope to see all of you on our global farewell tour. Don’t be mad, don’t be sad — be happy for us all, come celebrate with me these next few years.

Megadeth is also slated to join Iron Maiden as special guests on their Run For Your Lives North American tour next year, appearing at all headline shows. Select dates will also feature Anthrax, including stops in Montréal, Harrison, Los Angeles, and San Antonio. Find all the dates here.

In addition to the album and tour, Mustaine is preparing to release a new memoir in 2026, with more details expected soon.

From pioneering a genre to redefining guitar playing, Megadeth’s final chapter is shaping up to be a celebration of legacy, influence, and gratitude. As Mustaine put it: “Don’t be mad, don’t be sad—be happy for us all, come celebrate with me these next few years.”
