Megadeth Releases Behind-The-Scenes Look At The Making Of The ‘Tipping Point’ Music Video

Days after launching their final chapter with the new single “Tipping Point,” Megadeth has now given fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the song’s powerful music video. You can watch it down below.

The behind-the-scenes video, released on Friday, October 10, offers an inside look at the making of the official music video for “Tipping Point.” The original video, directed by Leonardo Liberti, features a narrative where Mustaine is imprisoned and tortured but ultimately “perseveres evil and walks away into a new day.”

“We all have different ‘tipping points’ and they may vary from day to day,” Mustaine says. “I think we’re all being pushed to the edge right now, and it’s easy to lean into that feeling. But it’s important not to let things get you down.”

Tipping Point” is the first single from the band’s upcoming seventeenth and final studio album, which will be self-titled, Megadeth, and is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026. The album is the centerpiece of the band’s announced farewell, which will also include a massive global tour in 2026.

When the farewell was first announced in August, Mustaine released a powerful and emotional statement explaining his decision to end the band’s legendary recording career.

“Most of them don’t get to go out on their own terms on top, and that’s where I’m at in my life right now,” he said. “I have traveled the world and have made millions upon millions of fans, and the hardest part of all of this is saying goodbye to them… Don’t be mad, don’t be sad — be happy for us all, come celebrate with me these next few years.”

“We have done something together that’s truly wonderful and will probably never happen again. We started a musical style, we started a revolution, we changed the guitar world and how it’s played, and we changed the world. The bands I played in have influenced the world. I love you all for it. Thank you for everything.””
