Megadeth Celebrates 40 Years Of ‘K*lling Is My Business’ With Half-Sumo Fightwear Collection

Thrash metal pioneers Megadeth have forged a unique partnership with Half-Sumo, a fightwear brand, to release an exclusive line of merchandise. This collaboration fittingly commemorates the 40th anniversary of Megadeth‘s seminal debut album, Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good!. The collection deeply resonates with Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine‘s extensive background in martial arts, as he holds black belts in Taekwondo and Ukidokan Karate, alongside a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Dave Mustaine expressed his enthusiasm for the project, noting how the new gear perfectly embodies the album’s intensity. “To see the raw energy of our first album translated into gear that’s built for the mat is a thrilling moment,” he said. “Half Sumo honored the spirit of Killing Is My Business… perfectly.”

Wave 1: The Streets – Available Now, June 12, 2025

This first drop focuses on limited-edition streetwear commemorating the album’s milestone. Items include the bold graphic “Katana Vic Tee,” featuring a reimagined Vic Rattlehead in Half Sumo’s distinctive style. Fans can also find the vintage-inspired “Rattlehead Ronin Tee,” an old-school sand-colored shirt with a ronin-style Vic graphic, and the “Half Sumo x Megadeth Anniversary Logo Tee,” showcasing an oversized Vic face paired with a classic Megadeth logo. Apparel extends to the heavyweight zip hoodie with full “Katana Vic” artwork and the shiitake-colored “Rattlehead Ronin Hoodie,” detailed with a ronin Vic print. The collection also includes “Mechanix” Tech Joggers, fleece joggers adorned with the clean Anniversary logo below the knee.

Wave 2: The Mats – Releasing July 2025

This wave introduces combat-ready performance gear, headlined by the “Rattlehead” Nogi Fightwear Kit. This set, comprising a rashguard and shorts suitable for MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, boasts a sublimated design, moisture-wicking properties, and anti-odor technology.

Wave 3: The Dojo – Releasing August 2025

Positioned as the centerpiece of the collaboration, “The Dojo” wave will feature the “Chosen Ones” Custom Kimono. This pearl weave gi includes direct embroidery, a custom lining, and comes with a collector’s edition gi bag.

Wave 4: The Arsenal – Releasing September 2025

The final wave offers accessories crafted from signature materials.
