Megadeth Hellfest 2026

Megadeth is bringing its farewell celebration back to Europe with a massive arena tour featuring two of metal’s most respected acts. The band has announced “Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations,” the European chapter of its multi-year global farewell headline tour.

The 24-date trek will kick off on March 9, 2027, in Belfast, United Kingdom, and will take Megadeth across the UK and mainland Europe before wrapping up on April 13 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Joining Dave Mustaine and company throughout the entire run will be fellow metal heavyweights Black Label Society and Testament, creating a stacked lineup that celebrates multiple generations of heavy metal.

“This isn’t about saying goodbye,” says Dave Mustaine. “It’s about celebrating everything we’ve built together over the last four decades. Every city has its own story, every crowd has given us unforgettable memories, and we want to come back to celebrate that with the fans who made it all possible.”

Mustaine also emphasized that the goal behind the tour was to create a special experience for metal fans, bringing together three legendary names from the scene.

“When we started talking about this tour, we wanted it to be a true celebration of metal. Black Label Society and Testament are bands we have tremendous respect for, and having them join us makes these shows even more special. This lineup represents decades of heavy music, and it’s going to be an incredible night for the fans.”

The upcoming European run follows Megadeth’s ongoing farewell plans, which were announced as a celebration of the band’s more than four-decade career rather than a simple goodbye. The tour will give fans across Europe the chance to experience the band’s legendary catalog alongside performances from Black Label Society and Testament.

Fans looking to secure tickets early will have access to the Megadeth Cyber Army presale, which begins on Tuesday, August 4 at 10:00 AM local time. Members can use their unique presale codes available through their accounts to unlock tickets.
