Megadeth are set to give one of their most elusive releases a long-overdue upgrade. The band’s 1995 EP Hidden Treasures will be released on vinyl for the very first time as part of Record Store Day 2026, landing in independent record stores on April 18, 2026.
Issued by Capitol/UMe, the release is classified as an RSD First title and will be limited to 6,500 copies worldwide. The EP will arrive as a 1LP color, remastered vinyl, complete with an alternate cover design created specifically for this pressing, making it an instant collector’s item for long-time Megadeth fans.
Originally released in July 1995, Hidden Treasures occupies a unique place in the band’s catalog. Rather than being a traditional studio album, the EP compiled songs Megadeth recorded throughout the early-to-mid ’90s for movie soundtracks, tribute albums, and special projects. In Europe, it first appeared as a bonus disc bundled with select editions of Youthanasia, while fans in Japan and the U.S. were later treated to standalone CD versions. Despite its popularity, the EP has never been pressed on vinyl — until now.
The Record Store Day edition expands the original release into a 12-track collection, adding four bonus tracks that were previously exclusive to the Japanese version. These additions include a radio edit and several demo recordings, giving listeners a deeper look into the band’s creative process during one of its most commercially successful eras.
