Atlanta progressive metal giants Mastodon have confirmed their return to Europe and the United Kingdom this summer, unveiling a month-long itinerary that blends major festival appearances with a run of intimate headline shows.
The tour kicks off on June 3 in Prague and concludes on July 5 in Lisbon. The schedule sees the band hitting the continent’s premier heavy music festivals, including slots at Download Festival in the UK, Rock am Ring/Rock im Park in Germany, Hellfest in France, and Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium.
To bridge the gap between festival weekends, Mastodon has scheduled a series of headlining performances. They will be joined on these specific dates by Liverpool experimental metal outfit Loathe.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, the band shared their enthusiasm for the upcoming trek:
“We are excited to head back to Europe and the UK this summer! We’ll be hitting some festivals, playing some headline shows with support from Loathe ! Tickets on sale Feb. 6 local time. See you on the road!”
Tickets for the headline dates are set to go on sale this Thursday, February 6.
