Legendary Florida death metal pioneers Massacre will see their classic demo compilation Tyrants Of Death reissued in remastered form via Agonia Records on September 25. The release will arrive in multiple collector’s editions and digital formats, complete with refreshed artwork showcased below.
Combining the raw aggression and sinister atmosphere that have defined MASSACRE for decades, Tyrants of Death remains a mandatory listen for fans of classic American death metal. Kam Lee (long-running Massacre vocalist & forefather of growling) comments: “I feel that by embracing the past, we can unlock the full potential of the future. These early demos serve as a testament to the band’s innovative spirit. They play a significant role in shaping the distinctive sound and style that would go on to define death metal, as well as Massacre’s blueprint. For this reissue, the material underwent remastering at Poland’s Satanic Audio in 2026. The studio has previously worked with notable acts including Behemoth, Azarath and Pestilence.
