Mysterious masked British rock collective President, widely rumored to be fronted by Charlie Simpson of pop-punk act Busted and post-hardcore outfit Fightstar, has officially announced the release of their highly anticipated debut studio album. Titled Blood Of Your Empire, the record will arrive on September 4 via Atlantic Records. To coincide with the massive announcement, the band has released a brand-new music video for the album’s lead single, “Doom Loop“.

Detailing the thematic weight of the new track, the band’s anonymous frontman released the following statement:

“The song is really about the strange tragedy of time — how we spend our lives chasing it, wasting it, and fearing it — only to realize its value once a moment is gone. It’s a reminder for people to be present while they are actually living their lives, not just remembering them afterwards.”

Operating under a strict veil of anonymity and minimalism since launching in 2025, President has cultivated massive intrigue by refusing to conform to traditional genre boundaries or identity-driven marketing, choosing instead to prioritize intent over image. Following the success of their 2025 debut EP, King Of Terrors, the group’s commander-in-chief offered deep insight into the philosophical and personal origins of their upcoming full-length debut:

Blood Of Your Empire was born out of my own struggle with existential crisis and trying to make sense of belief, mortality, and humanity’s relationship with faith,” he continues. “Religion has inspired incredible compassion, purpose, and beauty in the world — but it has also been responsible for unimaginable suffering and bloodshed throughout history. This album lives in the tension between those two truths. Writing it became a way for me to confront the fear, confusion, and questions I’ve carried for years, and turn them into something I’m truly proud of.”

In a striking visual move, the cover art for Blood Of Your Empire utilizes Eugène Delacroix‘s historical painting “The Battle Of Poitiers”, which currently hangs in the Louvre.

Following a wildly successful inaugural U.S. run as special guests for Bad Omens, President is set to return this fall to headline venues across North America. Produced by Live Nation, the upcoming trek will feature support from Cenobia and Showing Teeth on select dates.

The live campaign officially kicks off on September 4 at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville. The routing will take the masked outfit through major markets including Chicago, New York, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta, Denver, Seattle, and Los Angeles, before ultimately concluding on October 14 at the House of Blues in Dallas. Demonstrating the band’s explosive momentum, the entire North American tour has already completely sold out.
