New evidence against Marilyn Manson have been discovered.
Marilyn Manson first came under the scrutiny of Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón in 2021, when Gascón initiated an investigation into him. Although no details from that inquiry were made public, Gascón‘s office released a statement on October 9 revealing that new evidence has now been submitted to their Sex Crimes Division concerning Manson.
The statement expresses gratitude to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) for bringing the evidence forward and mentions that the LADA is currently meeting with the alleged victims to gather additional information.
“The LADA’s Sex Crimes Division is currently reviewing a case involving Brian Warner“, aka Marilyn Manson.
“Experienced prosecutors from our office’s Sex Crimes Division are carefully reviewing new leads and additional evidence that continue to come to our attention from the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s investigation. New evidence has emerged within the last few weeks, adding to an already extensive case file presented to our office by the LASD. It is our office’s responsibility to ensure that we have a complete picture of the admissible evidence available before making a filing decision. Senior staff members have met with victims, and our prosecutors continue to remain in contact with the victims and their representatives throughout this process. We are committed to making sure they are treated with dignity and respect.”
“I have received requests from victims to meet personally to discuss the case, however, as the case is being investigated it would be inappropriate for me, as District Attorney, to meet with victims during this time. We anticipate making a filing decision soon and will provide an update when that time comes. At that time, I look forward to meeting with the victims to discuss how my office can continue to support them”, added Gascón.
Marilyn Manson has been dealing with numerous lawsuits in recent years, including cases from Rachel Wood (who he has countersued), Esmé Bianco (now settled), Ashley Walters (scheduled for trial in November), Susan Fountain (related to a spitting incident), and Bianca Allaine Kyne, among others, over allegations of various sexual abuses and misconduct. Manson has denied all the accusations against him.
In the midst of his legal troubles, Manson has also announced his new album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1, which is set for release on November 22. This marks his first new album in four years and includes nine tracks with titles such as “No Funeral Without Applause” and “Death Is Not a Costume”. The lead single, “Sacrilegious“, was released along with an intense music video, reflecting Manson‘s signature dark style. The album reunites Manson with guitarist and producer Tyler Bates, who has worked with him in the past. The lineup also features Reba Meyers from Code Orange on bass and Gil Sharone on drums, bringing fresh energy to Manson’s unique sound.
