Foreigner will be joined by original singer Lou Gramm and founding keyboard player Al Greenwood at a series of shows across the next eight months, as the band works through its 50th anniversary year.

Greenwood returns first, at five dates in Georgia and California this autumn, and again for a run of northeastern shows next spring. Gramm appears on the Rock Legends Cruise out of Miami in February and at a Las Vegas residency in March.

The band that tours under the Foreigner name currently contains no original members. Founder Mick Jones, who assembled the group in 1976, stopped touring several years ago and disclosed a Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2024. Bassist Jeff Pilson, who joined in 2004, is the longest-serving player in the lineup.

That makes the two guest slots the only occasions on which anyone from the 1976 group will be on stage.

Jones framed the spring dates around the city where it started. “New York is where Foreigner began, so there could be no better place to celebrate 50 years of our music,” he said. “The songs have connected Foreigner with audiences for five decades, and these four shows will be a celebration of the fans who have been with us since the beginning.”

Gramm left Foreigner in 2003 and spent two decades largely apart from it. He has pointed to a specific turning point: the band’s induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2024.

He has guested at individual shows with increasing regularity since, and toured with the band this year.

Greenwood was the first musician Jones recruited. He has described the rehearsal that started everything, in New York on February 25, 1976: “This was the day I first heard ‘Feels Like The First Time‘ and I knew we had something very special.”

That date is what the anniversary is counted from. Foreigner opened its 50th year with acoustic shows at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek, Colorado on February 25 and 26 this year, exactly fifty years on, and will play more than 90 concerts across 2026. A second anniversary follows in 2027, marking fifty years since the self-titled debut arrived on March 8, 1977.

Gramm sang on Foreigner, Double Vision, Head Games, 4 and Agent Provocateur, among others, including “Feels Like The First Time“, “Cold As Ice“, “Hot Blooded“, “Double Vision“, “Juke Box Hero“, “Urgent” and “I Want To Know What Love Is“.

Greenwood played on the first three albums, Foreigner, Double Vision and Head Games, before leaving.

The band has sold more than 80 million records, with ten multi-platinum albums and sixteen top 30 singles.

Foreigner in 2026 is Luis Carlos Maldonado on vocals, Pilson on bass, Michael Bluestein on keyboards, Bruce Watson on lead guitar, John Roth on guitar and Chris Frazier on drums.

Maldonado, from Guadalajara, joined as a guitarist in 2021 and took over as frontman in 2025 after Kelly Hansen announced his departure during an appearance on NBC‘s “The Voice“. Hansen had held the job since 2005, when he replaced Gramm.
