The Pinkpop Festival archive has unearthed another classic performance, uploading Linkin Park‘s complete 1.5-hour set from their 2012 appearance at the legendary Dutch festival. The video is part of the festival’s ongoing “vault” project, which has been steadily releasing official recordings from iconic past performers.
The 2012 performance captured the band at a pivotal moment, touring in support of their album Living Things, which was released just days after the festival. The 22-song setlist showcases this era, featuring tracks like “Lies Greed Misery” and the lead single “Burn It Down.” You can watch the full show down below.
However, the concert served as a powerful retrospective of the band’s career up to that point. The set was heavily balanced with classics, drawing from Hybrid Theory (“A Place For My Head,” “Papercut“), Meteora (“Faint,” “Numb“), Minutes To Midnight (“Given Up,” “What I’ve Done“), and A Thousand Suns (“The Catalyst,” “Waiting For The End“). The performance also included a moving three-song medley of “Leave Out All The Rest,” “Shadow Of The Day,” and “Iridescent.”
This was Linkin Park‘s second and final performance at the historic festival. The Pinkpop Archive also recently uploaded individual videos of “Faint” and “Numb” from the band’s 2007 appearance. This 2012 upload joins a growing collection of archival sets from bands like Mastodon, Deftones, Rage Against The Machine, and Rammstein.
Chester Bennington sadly passed away on July 20, 2017.
