Limp Bizkit have turned their current stage into a tribute to the records that shaped them. On their ongoing European and UK run, the nü-metal icons are paying homage to a long list of classic albums through a striking backdrop made up of oversized faux cassette tapes — a nostalgic nod to the music that influenced them across decades.
The band, who first broke through on the back of their 1998 cover of George Michael‘s diamond-certified hit “Faith“, have always worn their influences on their sleeve, regularly dropping covers and medleys into their live sets. This time the homage is visual rather than musical, with the giant cassette props serving as an indirect shout-out to the group’s favorite records.
The albums came into focus when frontman Fred Durst shared a video on his Instagram, ironically while showing off a meme image of alien conspiracy figure Bob Lazar, inadvertently giving fans a clear look at the records lining the stage.
The selection is wide-ranging, leaning heavily on landmark releases from the 1980s and 1990s and crossing from hip-hop to grunge to thrash metal. Among the most prominently featured albums visible in the footage are:

One inclusion carries extra meaning. The presence of House Of Pain‘s self-titled debut is a clear tip of the hat to Limp Bizkit turntablist DJ Lethal, who first rose to fame as a member of that influential hip-hop group before joining the Bizkit ranks.
