Legendary Unreleased Guns N’ Roses Documentary ‘Perfect Crime’ Leaks Online

The highly sought-after, unreleased Guns N’ Roses documentary, ‘Perfect Crime’, has officially leaked online.

Guns N Roses Birmingham 2025

The highly sought-after, unreleased Guns N’ Roses documentary, Perfect Crime, has officially leaked online. Filmed during the band’s massive Use Your Illusion world tour between 1991 and 1993, the footage has long been considered a holy grail among the group’s dedicated fanbase.

Originally completed in 1994 with a reported runtime of 90 minutes, the film has remained completely unseen by the public for decades. The newly leaked version is a 38-minute rough cut that documents the chaotic reality of one of rock’s most notoriously wild tours, offering raw behind-the-scenes material and previously unreleased live performances.

The leaked footage captures a variety of surreal moments, including wild aftershow parties featuring waiters dressed as Roman legionaries, fans in varying states of undress, dancers clad in lederhosen, and a full pig served on a platter. In another bizarre scene, frontman Axl Rose is shown receiving a physical adjustment from an osteopath directly on an airport taxiway.

Musically, the documentary includes intimate hotel room jam sessions between Izzy Stradlin and Slash, as well as footage of Rose in the studio tracking vocals for The Skyliners cover “Since I Don’t Have You“. It also features dramatic moments from the road, such as bassist Duff McKagan being stretchered offstage after being struck in the head by a bottle, alongside two complete live songs professionally filmed at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in October 1992.

During a February 1992 interview filmed at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, Axl Rose reflected on the band’s staggering success:

“This is what I always wanted to do. I always knew it was going to happen. I never gave up hope. We’ve seen so many cats come and go in Hollywood that gave up. And it’s hard. It’s very difficult. We all know each other, and we’ve known each other for so long, it’s hard for us to sit back and go, ‘Hey! We’re in the biggest rock band in the world!’ It’s not like that. We’re still us, and we’ve got more albums to make, and we’ve got more shows to do.”

As the documentary finally makes the rounds online, the modern incarnation of Guns N’ Roses is preparing to hit the road once again. The band is kicking off the European leg of their massive 2026 world tour this month, with extensive dates across North America, Asia, and Australia to follow.
