Brian Head Welch Zahna Defiler 2026

Korn guitarist and vocalist Brian “Head” Welch returned to the microphone for his guest appearance in the music video for “Defiler“, the new single from Christian hard rocker Zahna. The influential nü-metal artist previously signed Zahna to his XOVR Records imprint in August 2024. The music video for “Defiler” features both Zahna and Welch, blending high-energy performance shots with the dark, industrial aesthetic of the track.

Recently, while speaking with LoudwireWelch offered an update on the current status of Korn’s 15th studio album:

“I really love the fact that it’s taking a long time. I always told management that I wish that we would wait a little bit between albums. We’re just so addicted to the studio that we get in there and we’re putting albums out every two or three years, ever since I rejoined. And so I love that there’s been delays.”

He continued: “We’re a fortunate band, we’ve been around for awhile and we’ve got an extensive catalog with a lot of well-known songs. We’re focusing right now on our live show … It feels like we don’t even need a new album. Everything’s just going so well, but that’s not to say we’re not going to find some time to go in again. I feel like it’s not priority right now.”

He did note, however, that the band intends to get back together soon to review the material they’ve been developing and assess their progress.

“We’re going to meet together and see where we’re at. There could be a couple of surprises this year … We’re going to have some cool announcements for dates around the world and stuff coming this year.”

Welch also said that he is grateful being back in Korn.

“I left [Korn] in 2005, a loser dr*g addict with nothing. I had a lot of money and awards and everything — but I had nothing. I didn’t know who I was. I gave it all up to find who I was. It took a few years to really get to know my new self and to be given this last decade or more back with Korn to see the grown and the connection with the fans, I’m just living in gratitude every day.”
