Blizzard Entertainment has officially debuted the music video for “Reward The Scars“, a brand-new track from Korn. Arriving alongside today’s launch of the “Diablo IV” expansion “Lord Of Hatred,” the single marks the multi-platinum band’s first release of new music in more than four years.

Channeling the heavy emotional weight characteristic of both the band and the video game franchise, “Reward The Scars” explores themes of survival, trauma, and the painful aftermath of conflict. The official video brings the grim aesthetic of the game to life, expanding on the highly anticipated live debut of the track that Korn delivered this past weekend at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas.

Frontman Jonathan Davis explained the organic connection between the group’s writing process and the gaming universe.

“I’ve played ‘Diablo‘ for years, so getting to step into that world creatively felt natural,” Jonathan stated. “I’ve always connected to the darkness in the game and the idea of confronting what lives beneath the surface — that’s something Korn has explored in our music from the beginning. ‘Reward The Scars‘ came out of our own writing sessions as a new Korn song, and it became clear pretty quickly that it was a natural fit for ‘Diablo‘.”

Kevin Bjelajac, VP of brand and creative marketing at Blizzard, echoed the singer’s sentiments regarding the partnership.

“This collaboration came together naturally — Korn and ‘Diablo‘ live in that space of confronting darkness head-on,” he said. “With ‘Lord Of Hatred‘, we’re telling a story about consequence, choice, and what it means to embrace — or resist — the pull of evil. ‘Reward the Scars‘ captures that spirit perfectly.”

The “Lord Of Hatred” expansion is available today across PC and modern consoles, serving as the climactic conclusion to the game’s “Age Of Hatred” saga as players confront Mephisto, the Lord Of Hatred.

Since forming in Bakersfield, California in the early 1990s, Korn has sold over 40 million records worldwide, driven by genre-defining, landmark albums such as Follow The Leader and Issues. The release of “Reward The Scars” officially breaks a four-year studio silence for the two-time Grammy winners and hints at the band’s next musical chapter.
