Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has been officially appointed as the grand marshal for the upcoming Pennzoil 400 NASCAR race. The annual event is scheduled to take place this Sunday, March 15, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. As grand marshal, the vocalist will be responsible for delivering the opening command to the drivers and will participate in various promotional activities throughout the day.
Ahead of the race, a promotional video was released showing the nu-metal icon completing a lap around the track. Highlighting a strategic promotional crossover, the vehicle driven by Jonathan Davis was fully branded with the logo for the Sick New World festival.
The cross-promotion aligns with Korn‘s upcoming live schedule. The band is set to co-headline the Las Vegas edition of the Sick New World festival alongside System Of A Down on April 25, 2026, at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
This year, the massive alternative and heavy metal festival is officially expanding. Following the April event, a second iteration dubbed Sick New World Texas will make its debut on October 24, 2026, at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The Texas expansion features a slightly altered, yet equally heavy lineup, headlined by System Of A Down, Deftones, and Slayer, who are scheduled to perform their legendary 1986 album, Reign In Blood, in its entirety to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Both festival dates will offer a variety of ticket tiers, including General Admission (GA), GA+, VIP, and VIP Cabanas. GA+ provides access to an exclusive lounge area with shaded seating and air-conditioned restrooms, while VIP packages include express entry, premium stage viewing, and private merchandise tents.
