Korn returned to the stage on April 25, delivering their first live performance since October 2025. The pioneering nu-metal band helped close out the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, treating the massive crowd to a heavy 17-song setlist.

As fans anticipated, the group delivered the live debut of their brand-new single, “Reward The Scars“. The track was surprise-released late last week in conjunction with the “Lords Of Hatred” expansion for the action role-playing video game “Diablo IV.”

The biggest surprise of the night arrived near the end of the show. For their penultimate song, Korn dusted off the setlist rarity “Proud“, performing the deep cut for the first time since November 20, 2011.

The track originally surfaced as a B-side to “No Place To Hide“, the lead single from their double-platinum sophomore album, Life Is Peachy. It later gained wider exposure when it was featured on the soundtrack for the hit 1997 horror film “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

Beyond the music itself, Korn’s recent years have also been defined by lineup changes and shifting activity. Bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu stepped away from touring in 2021, citing personal reasons and a need to address what he described as “bad habits.” While he has not performed live with the band since, he did contribute bass to Requiem. On the road, his role has been filled by Suicidal Tendencies bassist Roberto “Ra” Díaz.

Fieldy has since opened up about his time away from the band and the circumstances surrounding his decision. Speaking on the Shady Characters podcast alongside former L.A.P.D. bandmate Richard Morrill, he pointed to the COVID-19 pandemic as a major turning point.

“COVID happened. That’s it. I’m like, ‘I’m not going out there.’ That’s what happened, ’cause it was new. Now. I’m like… The whole time – I mean, I didn’t get vaccinated or anything – but when you reflect on it, that’s what happened,” he explained. “They’re like, ‘We’re going to Florida and all this.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m not going to get vaccinated.’ I’m not going. I go, ‘People, this is weird right now.’ But I mean that’s kind of what happened. But it gave me time to sit, and once you sit, you can reflect and you’re like, you’re kind of just waiting you know to what’s next, ’cause I don’t know what the rest of this day is going to bring. I’m just on fire for whatever, whatever is ready.”

When asked directly if his departure from Korn is permanent, Fieldy offered an ambiguous update on his status, leaving the door open for a potential reunion. This aligns with his recent public hangout with Korn drummer Ray Luzier.

“I’m retired from Korn today, but we’ll see what the day brings tomorrow,” he stated.
