The Scorpions are officially returning to the Las Vegas Strip. The legendary German rock band recently announced their “Coming Home To Las Vegas” residency at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, the run of shows is scheduled from September 17 to October 3, 2026, with Buckcherry returning as the special guest.
This upcoming engagement marks the group’s fourth run at the venue, following their highly successful 2022, 2024, and 2025 residencies.
“Coming Home To Las Vegas” Dates:
- September 2026: 17, 19, 23, 25, 27, 29
- October 2026: 1, 3
All performances begin at 8 p.m.
During a recent interview with KPTV FOX 12, frontman Klaus Meine and guitarist Matthias Jabs sat down to discuss the upcoming shows. When asked how it feels to celebrate the band’s 60th anniversary on a Vegas stage, Meine reflected on their unexpected longevity.
“Well, it’s fantastic. It’s a little bit unreal. I mean, 60-plus years. It’s so crazy. When we started out, we had no idea we would make it that long. In those days, in the late ’60s, ’70s, it was, like, wow, maybe another month, another year. But when we’re 30, this is done. It’s all over. We had no idea this would carry us through all our whole life. It’s fantastic,” he said (as transcribed by Blabbermouth).
The conversation then shifted to the enduring popularity of the band’s biggest hits. Decades after their release, anthems like “Rock You Like A Hurricane” and “Wind Of Change” continue to resonate with listeners across the globe. Meine credited this lasting impact to the undeniable strength of their songwriting:
“Well, it shows the power of songwriting. I think the Scorpions were always an amazing live band, and we still are. These days, together with Paweł [Mąciwoda] on bass and Mikkey Dee on drums, it’s a very powerful band, but it’s all about the songwriting as well. When you think about those songs you just mentioned — “Still Loving You“, “Rock You Like A Hurricane“, “Wind Of Change“. And after all these years, those songs are still relevant. Songs like “Rock You Like A Hurricane“, the young generations listen to a track like this on [the Netflix show] ‘Stranger Things‘. So playing in front of three generations after all these years, it’s wonderful, and it’s a huge compliment also for the songwriting.”
For musicians who have spent more than 50 years constantly touring the world, staying in one city is a nice change. Matthias Jabs explained the practical and personal benefits of staying stationary in Las Vegas:
“It is fantastic to be in one place for a change, since we’ve been touring the globe for so many times. And we will do this also this year. We are on our way to Asia soon. But when we come back in the late summer to Vegas, we are gonna enjoy being in one spot, playing the same theater for, like, 10 shows and enjoying the time off also without having to travel, which is also good for the crew and for everybody. And especially in Vegas, where you can do so many things, it’s never gonna be boring. And so it’s really something to look forward to for the fans who come in to see the Scorpions show and also go to the casinos or to great restaurants, see other shows, whatever. It’s just the capital of entertainment.”
When it was announced that Scorpions are going to return to Vegas, Klaus Meine said: “Our residency in Las Vegas last year was pure rock ‘n’ roll joy!! Unforgettable nights with fans from all over the world. That energy stayed with us, so coming back in 2026 just felt right. We can’t wait to return to Planet Hollywood and celebrate the music, the memories, and another round of rockin’ good times. Vegas… we’re gonna sting you again!”
