Kiss Trio Reunites: Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer And Eric Singer Perform Together At ‘Love Ride’ Event

The 34th annual Love Ride, a respected charity motorcycle rally, became the site of an unplanned Kiss reunion on Sunday, November 9. The event, held in Southern California, featured a performance by The Gene Simmons Band, which unexpectedly welcomed two of his longtime bandmates to the stage for a surprise set of Kiss staples.

Legendary bassist and co-founder Gene Simmons was joined by guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer for a memorable, two-song jam. The trio treated the crowd to renditions of the 1976 track “Calling Dr. Love,” originally on the Rock And Roll Over album, and “Let Me Go, Rock ‘N’ Roll,” from Kiss’ 1974 release, Hotter Than Hell.

The impromptu concert capped off the Love Ride, which began at Harley-Davidson of Glendale and concluded at Castaic Lake. The event successfully merged motorcycle culture with philanthropy, raising funds for noble causes including the Wounded Warrior Project and Adopt The Arts.

The Love Ride Foundation, founded in 1984 by Oliver Shokouh, has historically raised over $25 million for various charities, including the USO and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. After a period of hiatus, the return of Love Ride 34 underscored its powerful legacy as one of the world’s most significant charity motorcycle gatherings.

While the Love Ride reunion thrilled fans, the full Kiss lineup is scheduled to appear together later this month. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer will reunite for the Kiss Kruise: Landlocked In Vegas from November 14–16, 2025, at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

The event is set to feature two highly anticipated “unmasked” performances—one acoustic and one electric—marking the first time the four musicians have played together since officially retiring from touring in 2023. This celebration of Kiss five-decade legacy and the 50th anniversary of the Kiss Army will also include Q&A sessions, exclusive fan activities, and appearances by artists such as Sebastian Bach and Quiet Riot.
