Kiss will release a super deluxe edition of Rock And Roll Over on November 6, marking fifty years since the band’s fifth album. It runs to four CDs and a Blu-ray Audio disc, 130 tracks in total, of which 100 have never been released.

Among them is “Queen For A Day“, an unfinished instrumental from the sessions. It was intended to carry Ace Frehley‘s first lead vocal on a Kiss record. The vocal was never recorded, and the song went unused.

Frehley died on October 16, 2025 at 74, weeks after a fall at his home. He would eventually take his first lead on “Shock Me“, on the following year’s Love Gun.

CD 1 carries the original 1976 stereo mix, newly remastered from the analog tapes by Bernie Grundman, who handled mastering across the whole set.

CD 2 is a new 2026 stereo mix by Eddie Kramer, who produced the album in the first place and has spent the half-century since adding to his engineering credits.

CD 3 collects 22 unreleased demos, outtakes and alternate mixes, including nine Gene Simmons demos, the Davlen Sound Studios sessions, extended mixes and “Queen For A Day“.

CD 4 goes to Tokyo. Kiss closed the Rock And Roll Over tour in April 1977 with their first ever shows in Japan, four nights at the Nippon Budokan. Kramer recorded them at the time and has now mixed selections from all four from the original multi-track tapes.

The Blu-ray Audio disc holds Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround mixes of both the original album, prepared by David Frangioni, and Kramer‘s new version, plus high-resolution 192kHz and 96kHz 24-bit versions of the remastered 1976 stereo mix and a 96kHz 24-bit version of the 2026 mix.

The set comes with a 104-page hardcover book written by Ken Sharp, built on new interviews with Peter Criss, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Kramer among others, alongside unpublished photographs.

The replica material includes a period newspaper, Gotham Rock City News Volume 5, carrying track-by-track interviews with all four original members and Kramer on the new mixes and the Japanese recordings.

Full details and the complete track listing are at ShopKissOnline.com.

Kiss have not released an album of new material since Monster in 2012, which sold 56,000 copies in its first US week and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 3. Its predecessor, Sonic Boom, opened with 108,000 in October 2009 and reached No. 2, their highest placing.

The “End Of The Road” farewell tour ran five years and 250 dates, finishing with two nights at Madison Square Garden. Two years later the band returned at “Kiss Kruise: Landlocked In Vegas” at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in November 2025, playing an hour-long acoustic set on November 14 and an 85-minute electric show the following night, their first unmasked electric concert on land in three decades. Former guitarist Bruce Kulick joined them for “Lick It Up” and “Rock And Roll All Nite“.

The 2026 edition runs from November 13 to 15 at the same venue, with two more unmasked shows. It will include an all-star tribute to Frehley, alongside artist panels, question and answer sessions with longtime manager Doc McGhee, a look-alike contest, karaoke, interactive exhibits and a panel billed as the future of the band.
