Kiss Co-Founder Peter Criss Announces Rare Detroit Meet-And-Greet

Rock City Music Company is preparing to host a monumental event this spring, officially welcoming legendary Kiss drummer Peter Criss to Detroit for an exclusive two-day appearance. Scheduled for April 24 and April 25, 2026, the highly anticipated meet-and-greet offers limited availability for attendees on both days.

The upcoming in-person event serves as a celebration of the veteran musician’s recently released solo album, Peter Criss. Dropped in December 2025, the self-titled record marks the iconic drummer’s first full-length studio effort since 2007’s One For All, signaling a major creative return.

Adding to the historic nature of the weekend, this spring engagement will be the first time the original “Catman” has made an official appearance in the Motor City in over two decades, offering a rare opportunity for attendees to interact with the rock pioneer.

Addressing his imminent return to the Midwestern rock hub, Peter Criss shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming signing sessions:

For the production of his latest solo endeavor, the legendary drummer teamed up with Barry Pointer, a seasoned studio professional recognized for his previous work with Ozzy Osbourne, John 5, Mötley Crüe, Steve Stevens, Pearl Aday, and Dolly Parton. The studio sessions also featured a formidable roster of guest musicians. The rhythm section includes bassists Billy Sheehan and Matthew Montgomery (also known as Piggy D.), while guitar tracking was handled by John 5 and Mike McLaughlin. Paul Shaffer contributed piano parts to the record, which is further rounded out by backing vocals from Dennis Collins and Sharon Collins, alongside Cat Manning of CAT 5.
