For the first time in his career, Kid Rock has topped the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart. The milestone achievement, reflected on the chart dated February 21, 2026, comes courtesy of his reimagined cover of Cody Johnson‘s hit track “‘Til You Can’t“.
The new rendition features a deeply personal, faith-forward third verse written by Kid Rock himself, which earned him a co-writing credit on the song. The track experienced a massive surge following his headline performance at the Turning Point USA “All-American Halftime Show” on February 8. During the broadcast, the stage prominently displayed his birth name, Robert Ritchie, emphasizing the serious and reflective nature of his updated lyrics.
The newly added verse that sparked the cross-genre success goes as follows:
“There’s a book that is sitting in your house somewhere / That could use some dusting off / There’s a man that died for all our sins / Hanging on the cross / You can give your life to Jesus / And he’ll give you a second chance / ‘Til you can’t.”
