More Details Surface About Kelly Osbourne And Sid Wilson’s Split

Kelly Osbourne Sid Wilson

According to a source who spoke exclusively to People, Kelly Osbourne, 41, and Sid Wilson, 49, ended their relationship after a difficult period lasting several months. The pair had already separated earlier this year after calling off their engagement.

The new report adds detail to a split first made public in March, when reports emerged that the couple had quietly ended their engagement roughly seven months after Wilson proposed.

“There is no secret that she’s not happy with him. They’ve had a lot of back and forth,” the insider told the magazine. “They’re not together right now.”

The source said Kelly‘s attention is on her family, and that she wants to remain close to her mother, Sharon Osbourne. She is also described as very focused on parenting the couple’s three-year-old son, Sidney.

“She just doesn’t want the drama in her life right now,” the source added. “Sid has a lot he needs to work through on his own.”

People reported that it had contacted representatives for both. Neither Kelly nor Wilson has publicly addressed the report.

The report arrived two days after Kelly shared a series of messages on her Instagram Stories on Monday, August 3. She named no one in the posts.

“Strange how the loudest defense of the guilty is rarely innocence… It’s distraction,” she wrote at the time. “When the mask slips, they don’t face the mirror they throw it at someone else.”

“My son’s little heart once beat right beside mine. So trust me when I say… I will protect it at all costs.”

She continued: “My job is to protect my kids. Not your feelings. Not your expectations. Not judgments I didn’t ask for. My responsibility is to protect their wellbeing. Their nervous systems. Their emotional safety.”

“I will choose them every single time. Over anyone. Over everything.”

Her final message drew the widest attention: “Also, while I’m at it, can I have my dogs back and all my possessions. Oh yeah and maybe some child support?”

In a separate post she wrote that she wanted to be happy and had a son to raise, and asked to be left alone.

She wrote: “Wake the f**k up take some responsibility I will not take your s**t anymore! I’m done. I want to be happy and I have a beautiful son to raise. Leave me alone. let me heal. I can’t protect you from yourself anymore.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail at the time of the original reports, a source said the couple had been facing difficulties for a while and that things were not as they appeared publicly.

The source said at the time: “Kelly has been struggling following the loss of her father. The grieving process has been incredibly difficult, and she’s been doing everything she can to cope,” an insider shared.

“In truth, she and Sid have been facing challenges in their relationship for some time, and things were not as they appeared. They tried to make it work, particularly for the sake of their child, but ultimately decided that separating is the best path forward.”

Kelly has endured a great deal over the past year. Despite everything, she remains sober and is now focusing on herself and her role as a mother moving ahead.”

Kelly‘s August 3 posts followed TMZ‘s July 31 report that Wilson had been removed from Slipknot after 28 years with the band.

Neither Wilson nor Slipknot has confirmed that. Guitarist Jim Root posted a message on the day the story broke, telling followers not to believe everything they read and to wait for more information.

The wife of guitarist Mick Thomson drew attention with a post of her own, and Wilson‘s own social media activity since the reports surfaced has given fans little to work with.

follow-up report from TMZ claimed that Wilson‘s exit was “a long time coming” and that Slipknot members had reached a breaking point.

According to the report, the decision to remove Wilson from the group “came after the band finally had enough of Sid‘s behavior … namely, the way he treated his bandmates.”

TMZ also reported that Slipknot had planned to announce Wilson‘s departure themselves, but the band “lost control of the rollout” after the outlet revealed the news before the group’s planned announcement.

Osbourne and Wilson knew each other for more than two decades before they became a couple, having first met when Slipknot played Ozzfest, the festival founded by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.

They went public in early 2022, and Sidney was born that November. He carries both parents’ surnames.

Wilson proposed in July 2025 at Black Sabbath‘s farewell concert in Birmingham, with members of the Osbourne family present. Ozzy Osbourne died weeks later, on July 22, 2025.

The couple were last photographed together at the Grammy Awards in February.
