Kelly Osbourne Shuts Down Rumor Of Ozzy And Sharon’s Alleged Pact To End Their Lives: ‘That Was Bulls**t My Mom Said To Get Attention’

Kelly Osbourne, the 40-year-old television personality and singer, has vehemently condemned recent media speculation regarding a long-standing, controversial topic surrounding her parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne: a supposed “su*cide pact.” Taking to Instagram on Friday, July 11, a frustrated Kelly directly addressed reports, particularly those falsely claiming her legendary rocker father, Ozzy Osbourne, is nearing death.

“Stop making articles or posts about how you think my parents are having a su*cide pact,” Kelly wrote in a fiery Instagram Story, as reported by People magazine. She explicitly clarified the origin of the “pact” discussions, stating, “That was bulls**t my mom said to get attention one time. And my dad’s not dying. Stop!”

This strong reaction from Kelly comes after comments made by Sharon Osbourne resurfaced from a 2023 episode of The Osbournes podcast. During that discussion, Sharon had mentioned that assisted su*cide remained “still a plan” for her and Ozzy should either of them face a debilitating, terminal illness. This sentiment echoed earlier revelations from Sharon‘s 2007 autobiography, where she disclosed that she and Ozzy had made arrangements for assisted death in Switzerland if they were to suffer from conditions like Alzheimer’s.

Sharon previously cited the suffering of her father, Don Arden, due to Alzheimer’s as a key reason for their decision, stating, “If you’ve got mental and physical [pain], see ya.” Ozzy himself had touched upon the subject in a 2014 interview, expressing a desire not to prolong life if he were to lose basic functions or become entirely reliant on medical machines.

However, Kelly‘s recent outburst underscores her belief that these past statements are being taken out of context and sensationalized by the media. She was particularly incensed by the propagation of false claims regarding her father’s current health, emphatically denying that the iconic Prince of Darkness is in a terminal state. Her defiant mood was clear in her post: “I don’t know what side of the bed I woke up on today, but I woke up on a f**king I’m gonna f**k you up and fight you day.”
