Swedish masters of melancholy, Katatonia, have announced their return to North America in 2026 for the “Waking State Of North America” tour. The 12-date run is set to begin in February 2026 and comes in support of their latest studio album, Nightmares As Extensions Of The Waking State, which was released in June via Napalm Records.
The tour will kick off on February 9 in Pittsburgh and will cut across the continent, including stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Toronto, before concluding on March 12 in Brooklyn, New York. Tickets for the tour are scheduled to go on sale to the general public this Friday, November 7, at 10 a.m. local time.
Nightmares As Extensions Of The Waking State marks a new chapter for the band, continuing their evolution over 30 years. The album, which has been praised for its “haunting vulnerability,” blends heavy, doom-laden riffs with delicate guitar harmonies and ethereal synthesizers.
