Heavy metal legends Judas Priest have officially announced the upcoming release of a new career-spanning compilation album, The Best Of Judas Priest. The collection, which celebrates the band’s massive influence on the heavy metal genre, is scheduled to arrive on June 19 through Sony Music.
Over their five-decade career, Judas Priest has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and accumulated over 2.5 billion global streams. The new compilation aims to encapsulate that enduring legacy, serving as both a definitive retrospective for dedicated fans and an accessible entry point for new listeners.
The album gathers the group’s most globally recognized material, tracing their evolution through defining anthems such as “Breaking The Law“, “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming“, “Electric Eye“, “Turbo Lover“, and “Painkiller“.
In conjunction with their ongoing musical milestones, the band’s extensive history is also being explored on screen. A new in-depth documentary titled “The Ballad Of Judas Priest” recently premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Directed by Tom Morello and Sam Dunn, the film provides an intimate look at the group’s legacy and is slated for a wider public release later this year.
This summer, Judas Priest will embark on their upcoming “Faithkeepers” European tour. Scheduled to run from July 26 to September 18, the now expanded trek will see the band play in the Balkans, along with an extensive stretch of shows across Italy and France before closing out in Belgium.
