Rock legends Journey have announced a massive extension to their “Final Frontier Tour,” adding 40 new North American dates for the fall of 2026. The trek, which celebrates over five decades of the band’s storied career, is being billed as a farewell tour and has already seen packed arenas across the continent since its launch in February.
The newly added leg, presented by AEG Presents, kicks off on Saturday, September 12, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and will conclude with a special hometown performance at the Chase Center in San Francisco on November 28.
Guitarist and founder Neal Schon expressed his gratitude for the fan response during the tour’s initial run.
“The energy has been incredible every night. Seeing these crowds sing these songs with us after all these years has been powerful. We’re excited to bring the ‘Final Frontier Tour‘ to even more cities this fall,” Neal said in a statement.
Keyboardist Jonathan Cain, who recently confirmed he will depart Journey at the conclusion of this tour cycle, added: “These songs continue to connect with people in such a meaningful way. We’re grateful for the fans who’ve support this music across generations.”
The current Journey lineup features Neal Schon (lead guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Arnel Pineda (lead vocals), Deen Castronovo (drums), Jason Derlatka (keyboards), and Todd Jensen (bass). The setlist for the tour has been a career-spanning celebration, featuring staples such as “Don’t Stop Believin’“, “Any Way You Want It“, “Faithfully“, and “Lights“.
Vocalist Arnel Pineda shared the band’s excitement for the upcoming shows: “The fans have been incredible. Every night feels like a celebration, and we’re excited to share that experience with even more cities.”
Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets starting Wednesday, b 13, at 10:00 a.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment program. The general public on-sale begins Friday, May 15, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Exclusive VIP packages, including premium seating and custom merchandise, will also be available in limited quantities.
When the ‘Final Frontier‘ tour was first revealed, Neal Schon emphasized the scale of the production: “We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production — the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together.”
Jonathan Cain echoed the sentimental nature of the run, stating: “We’ve shared our music with millions and this tour is about gratitude, connection and one last chance to feel that magic together. We wouldn’t want it any other way.”
