Jack Osbourne, the son of television personality Sharon Osbourne and the late heavy metal pioneer Ozzy Osbourne, has officially announced the birth of his new baby girl with his wife, Aree Gearhart. The couple named their newborn daughter Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, serving as a touching tribute to her late grandfather, who passed away in July 2025.
Born on March 5, the infant arrived weighing 7 pounds and 4 ounces. The couple shared the joyful news with the public through a joint announcement on Instagram, pairing the reveal with a brief caption:
“Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.”
This arrival marks the fifth daughter for Jack Osbourne and his second child with Aree Gearhart, following the birth of Maple Artemis Osbourne in July 2022. He also shares three older daughters—13-year-old Pearl Clementine Osbourne, 10-year-old Andy Rose Osbourne, and 7-year-old Minnie Theodora Osbourne—with his ex-wife, Lisa Stelly.
Jack Osbourne previously went public with his wife’s pregnancy three months ago during an interview with The Sun. Discussing the impending arrival at the time, he stated:
“It’s awesome. We’re super-excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected. But it’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously.”
During that same interview, he revealed that his father was informed of the pregnancy before his passing. Ozzy Osbourne died less than three weeks after performing his final live concert.
Reflecting on how the news of a new baby brought a sense of light during a period of intense mourning, Jack Osbourne explained:
“I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing — probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way. It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”
According to the official death certificate filed in London, Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, after suffering a heart attack. The document also noted that the legendary vocalist had been battling coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.
