After his initial, profane post was removed by the platform, Jack defiantly reposted his message, replacing the curse words with emojis in a modern solution to a classic rock and roll feud.
The public spat began after Waters, speaking on the Independent Ink podcast, made a series of dismissive and insulting comments about the late Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July. Waters claimed Ozzy had been “all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense” and stated that he “couldn’t give a f**k” about his music.
“I don’t care about Black Sabbath,” Waters said. “I never did. I have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”
The comments drew a swift and furious response from Jack Osbourne, who took to social media to defend his father’s honor. His original, uncensored post pulled no punches, reportedly stating: “My father always thought you were a c**t – thanks for proving him right.”
That post was subsequently removed from Instagram, presumably for violating the platform’s community guidelines, which prohibit certain profane language. Undeterred, Jack returned to the platform with an updated, emoji-powered version of his message that cleverly conveyed the original sentiment while adhering to the rules.
His new post reads:
“Hey Roger Waters, 🦆 you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bull 💩 in the press. My father always thought you were a 🙀 – thanks for proving him right 🤡.”
While Roger Waters has yet to respond, Jack has made it unequivocally clear that he will not allow his father’s legacy to be insulted, and he is willing to get creative to ensure his message is heard—one way or another.
