Jack Osbourne Says His Grandfather Sent ‘Mobsters’ After Ozzy And Sharon During Management Feud

While the music world continues to mourn the loss of Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away this past July, new details have emerged regarding the terrifying and violent origins of his solo career. During a recent appearance on the reality series “I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here!“, Jack Osbourne shed light on the brutal family rift that occurred when his mother, Sharon Osbourne, wrested control of Ozzy‘s management from her father, the notorious music mogul Don Arden.

Arden, often referred to as the “Al Capone of Pop,” was infamous for his aggressive and often illegal business tactics. According to Jack, the transition of power regarding Ozzy‘s career was not merely a boardroom negotiation; it was a dangerous war involving organized crime.

“My grandfather was a big record exec back in the day. He pulled g*ns on people, everything,” Jack Osbourne revealed to his campmates.

The tension peaked when Sharon decided to leave her father’s employ and take Ozzy—who had recently been fired from Black Sabbath—with her to launch his solo career. Arden did not take the betrayal lightly.

“My mum took management of my dad. He sent hitmen after them, mobsters would show up with gigs,” Jack claimed.

The conflict eventually went to court, resulting in a massive financial settlement to ensure the couple’s safety and professional freedom.

“After she left and took management of my dad, they took them to court. They had to essentially pay him a million dollars to break the contract,” Jack explained.

The reality star also detailed why he had no relationship with his grandfather until his late teens, citing the “huge falling out” between Arden and Sharon. Jack described a manipulative dynamic where Arden mentored Sharon in the dark arts of the music industry while simultaneously setting her up to take the fall for his criminal activities.

“He taught her everything, and he did all sorts of screwed up things,” Jack said. “He had my mum sign all these documents, and everything was in her name, so he would never get in trouble. They would firebomb other record companies. That’s why my grandfather knew the Krays.”

These revelations add a grim layer of context to the empire Sharon Osbourne built alongside her husband. Her fierce, often combative defense of Ozzy throughout his career—ranging from feuds with festival organizers to battles with record labels—was forged in fire against her own father.

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76, following a prolonged battle with health issues.
