Forty years since the release of Iron Maiden’s multi-million selling sixth album, Somewhere in Time, the appreciation and acclaim for its groundbreaking songs and production continues to grow. In further celebrations that tie into Iron Maiden’s 50th anniversary since their formation, and reflecting the songs the band have been performing on their two-year Run For Your Lives Tour, a brand new vinyl box-set of their first nine studio albums will be released in December. Entitled the 50th Anniversary Studio Album Collection, Part One: 1980 – 1992 it comes in a fully designed artwork box, with an anniversary poster and will be available to order exclusively through Amazon (in the USA a non-Amazon retail version is also available, without the poster).

Iron Maiden kicked off the North American stretch of its “Run For Your Lives” tour on August 29 with a show at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the iconic British metal band is taking its spectacular new production to stadiums and major amphitheaters across the United States and Canada.
Iron Maiden are due to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Los Angeles on 14 November and do not plan to attend. The band have never hidden their view of the institution, Bruce Dickinson once described it as “an utter and complete load of bollocks.”
