Iron Maiden has announced a massive one-two punch for their Spanish fans, confirming back-to-back headlining performances at the country’s Resurrection Fest and Rock Imperium Festival in July 2026. The bookings are the latest additions to the band’s sprawling, festival-focused 50th-anniversary European tour, which will be their final run of shows before a planned touring hiatus in 2027.
The first announcement came from Resurrection Fest, held in Viveiro, Spain, from July 1-4. The festival is celebrating what it calls “one of the most epic editions in our history” with a blockbuster lineup.
The festival’s announcement reads:
“We are pleased to announce the first artists who will be in this new edition of Resurrection Fest EG 2026. After the bombings of Limp Bizkit and Iron Maiden, there are still many surprises to announce but we can already get to the idea that it will be one of the most epic editions in our history.”
Shortly after, Iron Maiden was also confirmed as a headliner for Rock Imperium Festival, which takes place from July 3-5 in Cartagena, Spain. That festival will see them top a bill that also includes Sabaton, Trivium, Queensrÿche, and Lacuna Coil.
These two major festival bookings are a clear continuation of the band’s stated strategy to focus on the festival circuit for their 2026 dates. They represent the last chance for fans in the region to see the legendary band before they take a “well-earned break from the road in 2027.” With these two Spanish dates now on the books, Iron Maiden‘s final European run is shaping up to be an unmissable, historic event.
