Iron Maiden opened the North American leg of “Run For Your Lives” in Toronto, adding Infinite Dreams.
Iron Maiden brought “Run For Your Lives” to North America on Saturday night, more than a year after the tour began in Europe. The band played Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, took the stage at 8.45pm and came off at 10.50pm, and returned to the same room tonight for a second date.
The 17-song set is drawn entirely from their first nine albums, running from 1980’s Iron Maiden to 1992’s Fear Of The Dark.

‘Infinite Dreams’
The one change from the 2025 European sets is the addition of “Infinite Dreams” from Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son. It had not been played in Canada since 1988, when the band toured that album.
Its inclusion means two songs from Seventh Son now sit in the middle of the set, alongside the title track.
Megadeth support throughout the North American leg, going on at around 7.25pm in Toronto. They are working through their own farewell, which Dave Mustaine has said could run three to five years, and released their self-titled seventeenth and final album in January, the first number one of their career.
The band play Montreal on 3 September, two nights at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey on the 5th and 6th, Boston on the 9th, Bristow on the 11th, Charlotte on the 12th and Hershey on the 15th, before headlining Louder Than Life in Louisville on 17 September.
Shakopee follows on the 19th, Chicago on the 22nd, two nights at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on the 25th and 27th, and the Alamodome in San Antonio on the 29th. South America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan take up the rest of the year.
Then they stop. The band intend to take 2027 off the road entirely.
There is one date they will not be keeping. Iron Maiden are due to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Los Angeles on 14 November and do not plan to attend. The band have never hidden their view of the institution, Bruce Dickinson once described it as “an utter and complete load of bollocks.”
The tour marks the band’s 50th anniversary and, according to their own materials, 45 years since they first played Canada and the United States on the “Killer World Tour” in 1981.
It is also the first extended run without Nicko McBrain, who retired from touring after the São Paulo show in December 2024 following more than forty years with the band. Simon Dawson has been on drums since “Run For Your Lives” began in May 2025.
Before the tour opened last year, the band asked audiences to severely limit their use of phone cameras, out of respect for the musicians and for everyone else in the room. That request carries over to the 2026 dates.
