This concert marked a significant moment for the band as it showcased the live debut of their new drummer, Simon Dawson, who officially joined the lineup last December, succeeding long-time member Nicko McBrain.

As the “Run For Your Lives” tour continues its highly anticipated run, Iron Maiden‘s manager, Rod Smallwood, recently issued an important message regarding concert etiquette. In a post titled “Put away your phones and get ready to Run For Your Lives!” shared on the band’s website last month, Smallwood appealed directly to fans, encouraging them to prioritize the live experience over recording it through their mobile devices.
Smallwood elaborated on the rationale behind this request, highlighting the impact on both the band and fellow concertgoers:
“We really want fans to enjoy the shows first hand, rather than on their small screens. The amount of phone use nowadays diminishes enjoyment, particularly for the band who are on stage looking out at rows of phones, but also for other concertgoers. We feel that the passion and involvement of our fans at shows really makes them special, but the phone obsession has now got so out of hand that it has become unnecessarily distracting especially to the band. I hope fans understand this and will be sensible in severely limiting the use of their phone cameras out of respect for the band and their fellow fans.”
The “Run For Your Lives” tour has already achieved tremendous success, with over a million tickets sold and the majority of dates completely selling out. While primary tickets for many shows are scarce, fans are advised to keep an eye on official channels closer to individual concert dates for any potential release of additional tickets from venue and production holds.
